Styrene butadiene thermoplastic elastomer SBS is white or yellowish porous particles with rod or flake-shaped appearance. Combining the advantages of both rubber and plastic, It possesses excellent low-temperature endurance, permeability and wet skid resistance. It is characterized by easy molding and coloring, simple processing, vulcanization free and low consumption or energy. The leftover bits and pieces can be recovered. It is widely used in shoes making, adhesives, waterproof materials, modification of higher polymer and road bitumen, cable and toys.
The low temperature flexing and anti-flowing property at high temperature of bitumen can be improved by adding 3% to 15%(wt%) SBS. Hardening, embrittling and cracking at low temperature of bitumen can be reduced due to improved flexing so as to extend the service life of road and rolling material. Softening and flowing of bitumen at high temperature can be improved after the anti-flowing property is enhanced. |
